"In a world where mutability is the one thing on which we can rely, certain
names carry with them an aura of comforting constancy: Banks (Music
Publications) is a treasured example in the world of music, and their
Eboracum Choral Series continues to be a wonderfully reliable resource".

Andrew Carter
Born in Leicester in 1939, Andrew Carter is a graduate of Leeds University. He joined the choir of York Minster in 1962, where he sang bass in the daily services for the next seven years, and in 1965 he founded the mixed voice choir, the Chapter House Choir. Many of his carol, folksong and popular arrangements were written for the choir. A Winston Churchill Fellow in 1981, he studied the choral techniques and repertoire of Scandinavia. He became a founder committee member of ABCD, addressing the first convention in Oxford in 1986. Andrew Carter's choral compositions and arrangements have become internationally known over the last twenty years, and are regularly broadcast on national television and radio.
