The duration of this cantata is approx. 40 minutes. The voicing is SATB, with some divisi but the vocal range is moderate. Three solos are included - one for high voice and two for medium voice and one optional obbligato for soprano. The accompaniment is written for either piano or organ, or both may be used together. The narrator's text is taken direclty from the King James Version of the Bible. The entire cantata should be performed, preferably, without a break. If an intermission is necessary, it is most logical at the double bar on page 33.
